As with any toothbrush, a bamboo toothbrush will pick up some normal wear and tear after a few months of use. It’s important to replace the toothbrush every two to three months, OR when the bristles become worn. It’s also important to change your toothbrush if you have used it whilst ill.

From packaging to product, our dental amenities are fully recyclable. The packaging is made from cardboard, the handle from bamboo, and the bristles, whilst not biodegradable, can still be recycled.

A bamboo toothbrush can go moldy, but a plastic one can too. Hot and steamy environments can cause quicker molding. Make sure to clean your brush well after each use. The other toothbrushes in the set will not mold for up to a year if kept in packaging until use.

Pandas don’t eat moso bamboo which is the type we use for our brushes. Similarly, moso grows very fast to ensure supplies are replenished quickly.

Our toothbrushes use removable BPA-free bristles. BPA, otherwise known as bisphenol A, is a chemical used in plastic products including in many ordinary toothbrush bristles. Studies have shown links between BPA product use and hormone interference in children; our toothbrushes don’t create this risk.

The packaging of the brush is fully recyclable, so just pop that in the recycling bin. The bamboo handle is biodegradable so can be put on the compost heap; however, the bristles must be removed first to do this. You need to use pliers to remove the bristles – don’t use your teeth!
